The energy consumed by LCD TVs is less than that consumed by plasma TVs.

On the flip side plasma TVs offer a much better contrast ratio and a much smoother and deeper rendering of black. This often makes their picture quality extremely clear and a pleasure to watch. The screen sizes available in plasma are larger than in LCD TVs, if you have a huge house and need a TV that is big enough to suit such a big home then plasma TVs offer you better options than LCD TVs. Motion tracking of plasma TVs is also better than that of LCD TVs thereby making their transmission extremely clear. However, burn in, screen glare and heating up are some of the problems that are associated with plasma TVs.

The choice between plasma TVs and LCD TVs is a difficult one. However, by knowing the plus and minus sides of both these televisions and what they can offer to you, you stand a better chance of making the right choice. So go ahead and investigate them to the fullest before making the final decision.
