Every corporate profess upon developing leaders and team. More often than not, leaders are defined/understood by the entrepreneurs is that the leaders should work on the thread given by them. Any different opinion will be treated as blasphemy or sin. The corporate that cradle such culture hardly grows.

What is leadership is all about. Bringing an uncommon perspective to the team. Uncommon mind, uncommon wisdom and uncommon observation power are required for a leader. Such leaders necessarily nurture similar leaders in the organization. But most corporate believe and respect the tenet that being good and nice to the top man is the best leadership quality. Unfortunately, entrepreneurs also like only the yes boss people' in the organization.

Entrepreneurs must learn how the leadership and team should be from a pack of wild dog or a pride of lion. The pack of lion when they are on lookout for a hunt, all the lions in the pride will never focus on one particular area in the forest. Different members look at different directions to spot a prey. Once a prey is spotted, each member will move swiftly and collectively towards the prey. Until they stock the prey, they follow the simple thumb rule of how to achieve success. Different leaders lead the team at different time during the hunting operation. They never fight with each other. Interestingly, the key hunter after stocking the prey move quietly and rest for some time while other members would have started eating the prey.

In the case of pack of wild dog or hyena, the first mover will be the leader. He move first and others follow him. Usually, many members of the pack group together and cheer the team.

Rendering the unconditional support is what most animals follow both during hunting or safeguarding the pack.

Let us see how team and leadership exist in corporate. Always leaders want followers as like animal world. But the corporate leaders want followers to agree them and flatter them. But in animal world, they need followers to help them to achieve the goal for the entire pack/pride. The goal is largely for the entire pride or pack. Larger interest is what seen in animal world when compared to the narrow interest seen in the corporate leaders/team. Survival of the pack or pride is the primary goal during display of leadership and team effort in animal world than survival of individuals and their selfishness is the primary goal in corporate world.

Group thinking is what predominantly seen in animal world. Except during eating, animals are always sensitive about their team whereas corporate leaders are sensitive only about themselves. Entrepreneurs must learn this lesson if they want to take the organization to success.
