There are some differences between digital oscilloscope and analog oscilloscope. Digital oscilloscope has unique features like waveform triggering, storage, display, measurement, waveform data analyzing and processing and so on. The waveform of it is displayed and digitalized. It only repeats the process until it is finished. Virtual bandwidth is only suitable for repeated measurement of periodic signals, while the other one is suitable for signals and single signal measurement. By using an alternative method of equivalent time sampling, a digital storage oscilloscope can capture accurately the signs to the corner of the tape.

So we can use the DSO in several acquisitions modes. The DSO will not only remove the rest of the shots but also use them to analyze the signals coming.
