Flirting makes you feel good. It makes other people feel good and no relationship out there starts without it. However there are a lot of things you have to remember if you are going to be successful flirting with that special someone that has caught your eye.
Lots of people are naturals at flirting however, most of us get nervous when we really have feelings for someone and flirting behavior can quickly turn into immaturity or make you or the person you are flirting with feel uncomfortable.
That's why I want to talk about this subject today because I don't want anyone to be afraid to flirt because of an insecurity they are having with the act. I want to help you improve your flirting skills.
The most important part is the eye contact. It is the most effective flirting tool of the human body. If you don't know how to make your eye contact properly, it could work against you. So how do you use your eye contact as a flirting tool? Easy! You let them do the talking. You want your eyes to have a look of intensity so you might want to practice this in a mirror first. All you really have to do is think lustful and sexy thoughts about the person you are trying to flirt with. Think about being passionate with this person. You will notice that your eyes do the talking all on their own just by the thoughts you create in your head. As you practice this, you will get better at it and be able to turn it on like a switch. You will be able to make your eyes go from dead to wild in a matter of seconds. When your flirting, hold eye contact every so often with the occasional lowering to look them up and down. You don't want to hold constant eye contact or you could end up freaking them out a bit and scare them off. You don't want to look like a stalker. You can also try subtly raising an eyebrow and looking deep into his eyes with a cute slight smile. Which brings me to the next step of flirting.
Smiling. Smiles are infectious. A generous and relaxed smile is the best way to go. It will make them more friendly with you and more open to your flirtatious advances. There is no trick to this one, just smile your normal sweet smile.
Body language is important. You need to learn your body language as well as reading others so that you are not flirting with someone that you could be wasting your time with. For the most part the body language comes from the eyes but others are, cute smirky facial expressions, bending over frequently, bumping into them, touching them, fiddling with your hair while flirting. These are all body language techniques and everyone has their own special ways of using the body to attract the one they want. Just be very observant and confident.
Next step is the compliments. Be ready to compliment them frequently. You really like the shirt he has on, you love the tattoo he has, the cologne he is wearing smells fantastic. The more compliments the better. But keep in mind that if you really don't mean it, don't say it. You will just come off as a phony.
Having character is also an important element to flirting. You don't have to be a model to impress a man, but you do have to have a good friendly personality to get someone to like you.
A few more things...
Look deep into his eyes when you are talking and make sure you are actively paying attention to the conversation. The flirting would all be a waste of time if he asks you a question and you say, "Sorry, what did you say"?
Make sure you maintain self respect. When your flirting, do not demean yourself or let others do so.
Don't go out looking for someone to flirt with. Just go out to have a good time and if the right man comes along, flirt away!
Remember that flirting is not going to guarantee a ring on your finger or a date for that matter. It really does not matter how good you can flirt with someone. It's more about if you have chemistry with that person.
