Learning How To Run An Online Business From A Myanmar Visa Run - 5 Tips

Kelli and I made a visa run to the Laos border today

, picking up a few awesome online business tips. We were on a tight schedule, having only 1 hour and 20 minutes to leave the bus station, cross over into Myanmar, come back to Thailand and make a 2:00 PM bus.

We did it and picked up some nuggets along the way.

Online Business Tips

1 - Set a Positive Intent

I believe in a kind, loving Universe which honors your predominant intent. After we were under the gun Kelli and I decided to set an intent: we would make the 2:00 bus. This was at 12:45 PM, which made the feat quite ambitious, but we didn't allow the tight sked create doubt, which kills intents.

Set an intent to achieve a worthwhile home biz goal today: generate 5 opt-ins, or reach 20 people, or write 2 blog posts. Hold the intent, get into action, and never doubt your intent, and neat things happen.

2 - Operate with Laser Precision

Both the Thai and Myanmar border guards operated with laser precision. Each processed us with lightning speed. We were in and out of the Myanmar side within 7 minutes. This was after the guards processed a family with 6 kids. They were damn good.

How precise are you? Do you operate your home based opportunity with the same precision? Get on the clock. Quit wasting time. Prosper.

3 - Be Prepared

As our bus pulls in the taxis back up to our door within 30 seconds, every time we arrive. The drivers are prepared, waiting to ferry us to the border. The same drivers then bring processed falangs to the bus station, and the process continues. Brutally efficient, always on time, and they pack passengers in to the taxi like sardines.

Are you prepared? Do you call each prospect up immediately with the question of, "How can I help?" Do you set up a blog post or article each day? Prepared online entrepreneurs prosper.

4 - Customer Service

OK this one is a little graphic. A woman across the aisle from me became violently ill early into the bus ride. The person sitting next to her was none to pleased at the...um....circumstances she was sitting beside. The bus attendant immediately moved the non-sick passenger to a seat beside the driver. She didn't have to do it, but she did. It was a nice gesture.

How are your customer service skills? Are you accessible to your team? To prospects? How are your phone manners? Do you respect other's time. People remember a kind, thoughtful person. Get your customer service skills in order and you never lack in the online biz arena.

5 - Persistence Wins

Some hawkers sell cigarettes on the Myanmar side of the border. These dudes don't give up. I credit some of their tenacity to their living conditions, as Myanmar is an oppressive regime which has only recently opened up a bit more. Whatever the motivator though, these guys are persistent as well. They make the sale because they ask over and over.

Now, no need to hound people. We do things on a creative plane of thought. But, do you blog daily? Do you write articles daily? How often do you leave comments on blogs? Persistence wins, every time. Grow your biz with persistence.

Set a positive intent for your home business. Set a goal to aim for, believing you will reach the goal. Operate with laser precision. Get on the clock and prosper.
