Lighting Controls & Designs is part of Acuity Brands Controls and was founded in 1987 as a response to the growing demand for accessible and innovative lighting controls systems. LC&D products are incorporated with the latest lighting technology and design to ensure their reliability and their flexibility in fitting various lighting environments.

CONTROL PANELS
GR 2400
The GR2400 system is a single system that is capable of handling multiple lighting controls in a wide range of applications and configurations. It can also easily adjust to any size or area and is able to handle settings ranging from a parking lot to a high rise building.
The GR2400 system is also fully digital and can handle a wide breadth of products like sensors and switches. The system comes with a ten year back up battery and a modem that includes free lifetime factory programming. It is capable of controlling mixed voltages and can run with normal and emergency power.
Switches/Photosensors
Chelsea Digital Switch
The Chelsea digital switch can be programmed to control any relay, breaker, or dimmer in any panel. It is fully digital and can easily be connected to the GR 2400 system via RJ45 connectors.
For ease of use, all of its buttons are equipped with pilot lights. Also, a locator light that is permanently on can be found on each of these units. The Chelsea digital switch can link up to 127 digital addresses via a patch cable with the help of RJ45 connectors.
Software
Unity Lighting Control Software
Unity Lighting Control Software is an easy to use software bundle that can handle the programming and management of a lighting control system. It is designed to be very accessible and user friendly and requires no training to use. This software bundle is free and can be preprogrammed by LC&D prior to shipment at no extra charge.
End users can program, manage and monitor their lighting control system in real time through Unity from an LC&D clock display or from any computer desktop.
Accessories
DigiLink
The DigiLink is a gateway between dry contact closure devices and the GR 2400 system. It allows contact closure devices to be programmed to control any relays , Smartbreakers or dimmers.

Distributed Controls
The distributed controls system is made up of a large central panel with connecting smaller local panels. It is managed by the GR2400 micropanel. The micropanel in a distributed controls system allows for a whole new level of control in each room. It will eliminate home run wiring or high and low voltages and it will allow local and remote programming and adjustments.
The micropanel will also have the ability to integrate all local lighting controls systems into a building wide control system which would include occupant sensors, switches and dimmers, photocells, time clocks, and control gateways.
Daylight Harvesting
Daylight harvesting or daylighting means making full use of the natural light that enters a building. Daylighting has its advantages, one of which is that it is free and another would be that natural light or sunlight is still the best light for visual acuity.
Lighting Controls & Design has found a way to utilize natural light and the concept of daylighting by designing digital photo sensors to detect daylight levels. These same photo sensors will then automatically adjust the artificial lighting within the given area to create a balance between the two, thus saving energy without sacrificing the visual performance of the working environment.
