Linkin Park Tickets - Rock Group Co-headlining Honda Civic Tour

For over a decade, Linkin Park has been delighting rock music fans everywhere with

their mix of hard rock, alternative style, and hip hop on stages across the globe. With the screaming yet extremely talented voice from Chester Bennington and the DJing and rapping from Mike Shinoda, Linkin Park has one of the largest audiences of any rock band. Fans go see the band live because they are highly energetic and always put on the best show possible. The band has had Billboard chart topping albums and singles and each record they put out is an instant success with not only established fans, but new fans of the band as well. This year, the Honda Civic Tour has enlisted Linkin Park to headline, as well as fellow rockers Incubus. Linkin Park tickets are sure to sell out at every venue the Honda Civic Tour will take them.

Becoming Linkin Park

When the band first formed, it didn't have the now famous Chester Bennington. In fact, three high school friends, Brad Delson, Rob Bourdon, and Mike Shinoda, recruited some band members after high school in order to formally make music. The group brought on Mark Wakefield, who would be the lead singer, as well as Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, and Joe Hahn. The band they formed was called Xero and they began by recording in what Mike had created as a studio in his room. Eventually, however, both Farrell and Wakefield left the band to pursue other projects.

In Wakefield's absence, a recommendation was made for Chester, originally from Arizona, to join the band as the new lead singer. He stood out among all other auditions and the band then changed their name to Hybrid Theory, ironically enough, the name of the current band's debut album. Since the band formed in California, it decided to change its name to pay homage to Lincoln Park in Santa Monica, thus becoming their permanent name. After pursuing numerous record companies, Linkin Park was finally signed to Warner Bros. Records in 1999, dropping their debut album in 2000.

Hybrid Theory and Beyond

Like many other great bands, rather than release an album every year simply to please the record company or anyone else, Linkin Park has taken to taking a hiatus between each album. This gives them time to reflect on their last album, take some time off, create new music, and work on powerful lyrics. This is why, since 2000, Linkin Park has only released five studio albums. But each album is perfectly made and perfectly recorded which explains how they remain one of the top rock bands in the world. Linkin Park's latest release, Living Things, has already made a strong impact on fans and the Billboard charts and will be part of their lineup at the Honda Civic Tour.

Together with Incubus, another mainstay band in the rock world, the Honda Civic Tour is ready to rock cities across the country. Bands in the past have included Blink-182 and Chemical Romance in 2011, Paramore in 2010, Panic at the Disco! In 2008, Fall Out Boy in 2007, and so many great artists before them.
