Its finally revealed that Linkin Park would be releasing their upcoming album 'A Thousand Suns' on the 14th of September. After a long wait since their last album LP would be bringing on their single release in less than a month and with that speculations about the album has already begun among the enourmous fan following that it has.
Before the album hits the stands let's take a quick sneak peek at LP's latest offering. Now how would you react if I'd say that this album has an Indian connection? Confused? Well, the name 'A Thousand Suns' has been lifted from a quote in "Bhagavat Gita" as follows:
"If the radiance of a thousand suns
Were to burst at once into the sky
That would be like the splendor of the Mighty one....

The theme of the album is hard to guess but feels like it will incline towards nuclear war and peace. Linkin Park has always been known to participate in immense charity work and also promote going green. They have also recently asked people all over the world to plant a tree and to post the video as a proof on their website. Well seems LP is really a band of its own kind.
And now there's some real cool news for all LP fans. Linking Park has announced on their website that they would be conducting an event as an initiative to thank their fans. They would be releasing a single track on August 2nd, 2010 and have asked their fans to tamper with the track by remixing, adding music or simply removing some by keeping the original track alive. They would then decide and pick up the best piece of track or maybe even settle down for a splendid instrument work and would add the sound track to their upcoming release. Those looking to participate in the event would simply have to record their own piece of music remixed from the original and post it on their website. The rest would be absolutely history for that lucky one whose track or piece of music would feature in 'A Thousand Suns'.
