?Basically, an autoresponder is a computer program that automatically answers email sent to it. Now this might sound complicated but it's actually really simple. An autoreponder is what you use to run an online newsletter. People subscribe and get sent information written by the creator of the newsletter or list, automatically. See not so complicated now right?
There are loads of services online that you can use to build your list, it's not like you have to go out and build the program yourself. But anyway autoresponders allow you to have a list of people that have themselves subscribed to your list, now the autoresponder sends out content you have already created and it sends it exactly when you want! You just set it up and its all done and ready. Now you can always send out a broadcast which is a message to all of your subscribers. There is really loads and loads of features and things you can do. From creating your own forms to creating complex year long email campaigns.
Like I said there are loads of services you can use for your first autoresponder, but honestly I have tried a whole ton of them and only one is my favorite. And that's Aweber!! It really is the most user friendly autoresponder out, I myself learned how to use it in a couple of days. I mean you can try out the other ones and see what you prefer but I totally recommend Aweber for anyone and everyone!
