Long Island Toyota Sienna dealers hope Toyota maintains profit pace

I've been waiting to see how Toyota would fair in terms of sales this year for a long time. The recession's victims did not stop at the Big Three, and even with one of the leading fuel efficient vehicles on the market, Toyota still took its lumps from the sales droughts that plagued Long Island Camry Hybrid dealers, among others. And that wasn't it for Toyota's misfortune; right after the recession's main force, Toyota went into a tailspin as a result of heavy recalls on Prius and other models. So, some of Toyota's best sellers were plagued with nasty break problems that really ended up hurting the automaker's overall reputation, much to the chagrin of Long Island Toyota Sienna dealers.

And, much as we expected, the fiscal year ending March 31, 2010 was a nasty one for the Japanese manufacturer. Compared to last fiscal year, Toyota's overall sales were down a good 7.7 percent, logging a total of 18.95 trillion yen. On top of that, the net income for the company turned out to be another big loss, results that sent Long Island Toyota Sienna dealers into a panic. In general though, it would appear that things are looking bright for the future with the recession nearing its end and the effects of the recall beginning to really deteriorate. In fact, Long Island Camry Hybrid dealers are expecting a renewed interest in their models, especially at a time when fuel efficiency couldn't be more important.

Commenting on the financial results, TMC President Akio Toyoda said, "I am sincerely grateful to our dealers and suppliers who remained fully committed to providing as many cars as possible to customers, and to our employees as well as our overseas business operations for their efforts in working together so that the company will return to its normal state as soon as possible. And finally, above all, I am sincerely grateful to our customers of more than 7 million people around the world who newly purchased Toyota vehicles."

Well, Mr. Toyoda, you finally seem much more willing to talk when it comes to putting the minds of investors at ease. The public relations disaster of the last year still weighs heavy on the minds and sales of Long Island Toyota Sienna dealers, who continue to see a sales drop as a result of the enormous blunder. Still, I would expect Toyota to make some serious moves to get back into the game. The recalls are beginning to blow over, and, while the automotive market continues to evolve with new technologies, Toyota is going to get many chances to reassert themselves and get back to the top of the market. Long Island Camry Hybrid dealers are pretty confident of this too, as they have seen the company through the bad and the good.

As the state of the automotive industry continues to smooth out and gain some continuity, expect manufacturers like Toyota and other brands under the company's jurisdiction to take the reigns and lead us into the next phase of driving.
