Lounging For A Day

Life can be hard on us

Life can be hard on us. Our lives are busier than they've ever been before. No matter what you do, you find yourself running from one place to the next simply because you don't have enough time in the day. This can be a good thing and a bad thing, but that depends on the type of personality you have. But keep in mind, your body can only take so much until it just needs a day to relax.

Sometimes after a busy week you find yourself wanting to just have a day to do absolutely nothing. The thought of going anywhere or doing anything brings utter disgust to your mind. I believe it's important to set a day aside for you. Maybe one day every two weeks. Maybe one day a week if that's what you feel your body needs. Set a goal for this Saturday or whatever day you choose and make it a priority to fulfill some of the following points.

The First thing to start off your day of lounging is sleeping in until you wake up naturally on your own. By allowing yourself to sleep until you wake up, you are allowing your body as much resting time as needed. After you wake up do whatever it is that makes you happy. If you like to sit down, drink your coffee and read a newspaper then do it. If you love to get up and exercise then do it.

Allow yourself time to do these things. Don't feel pressured into getting things done or being somewhere at a certain time. This defeats the purpose of providing time for yourself. After you are up and awake and ready for the day, take the time to rejuvenate the mind. However you want to accomplish this is up to you. I personally choose to meditate or read a good motivational book.


Another thing I feel is important on your days off are to get outside and enjoy nature. This brings a sense of peace and serenity that will not be achieved in the work place. Go on a walk or a bike ride and admire what you have around you. I often take drives simply because I can.

If you choose to go out and do some shopping, keep it casual and comfortable. Slip on a pair of Klogs shoes and some relaxing jeans and take your time as you gander up and down the aisles. If you are a woman and love to shop, then go to a shoe store and look at some womens casual shoes that will compliment you in your next day of lounging.

This may all sound crazy to you but our bodies need to relax. We get so frustrated with everything we need time to just clear our mind. Sometimes we feel that we always have to be doing something productive, but I'm here to tell you that relaxing and rejuvenating the body can be a productive thing for your upcoming weeks.
