Low Energy Candle Lamps

Candle lamps are most likely to be associated with decorative lighting e.g. wall lighting, chandeliers, candelabra etc. Candle bulbs are also used in outdoor settings e.g. outside the front door in a lanterns style; coloured candle light bulbs of various sizes are often also used in decorative strings. Candle lamps seem to have a traditional feel to them. The variety of candle light bulbs and the visual and lighting effects than can be produced with them is enormous. For example, candle lamp bulbs can be twisted, have bent ends, can produce lantern glow and flickering effects similar to a real flame, and they can even be gold tinted to give an oil lamp effect its even possible to get LED versions. In many cases though, its simply a case of needing to replace a clear or frosted bulb.
Before doing so you will need to find out what kind of base the candle light bulb will need to have to work with your fittings. For example the base could be Edison Screw (ES), Small Bayonet (SBC), Bayonet (BC), or Small Edison Screw (SES). The decorative nature of candle lamps means that there may be many in one place / one room, and they are likely to be in less accessible places. For these reasons its likely that youll want replacements that are energy efficient, and long lasting. Low wattage,
low energy candlelamps / bulbsare likely to be just as bright as your old ones, but will save you money and hassle. For example a 7w low energy candle lamp can produce the equivalent output to an old style 40w bulb, and an 11w low energy candle light bulb can give the same output as a 60w old style bulb. This high efficacy, and longer life of bulb / lamp itself can lead to huge lifetime saving.
Energy saver halogen candle lamps are also available in all the base styles mentioned above, and again can demonstrate high efficacy, long lifetimes e.g. 200 hours, and can provide similar outputs at lower wattage e.g. a 28w providing the equivalent of a 40w output.About the Author:
