The world is having a bit of difficulty trying to address the big problem which is global warming
. Because of this issue, the changes in the world's climate have been dangerous and have been so unpredictable that properties have been damaged and lost and people were either injured or dead.
Why is this so? Whys is the world experiencing the so called global warming? Do you bother to read online or even just in the daily paper? Because of the increase in the number of factories, machineries and motor vehicles that are produced in the world, the more polluted the atmosphere becomes. But those are not the only reasons why there is global warming. Another reason is the cut-down of trees and the slow disappearance of forests.
There are still people who are ignorant and those who just turn around and those who don't mind the whole issue. But fortunately, there are already those who are becoming aware of the health of the environment. These people are finding ways and means to save the environment and protect the earthy treasures that Mother Nature has endowed to us.
One of the big things that some experts in the field of environmental science have invented or come up with is the carbon credits system. This system is supported by the Kyoto Protocol.
The Carbon credits system is also known as the carbon offset system. This is a system which aims to reduce and hopefully eliminate the greenhouse gases or the noxious gases which are being emitted to the atmosphere. This system is actually a form of regulatory tax. Well, somebody has to be responsible for the carbon tax to provide for the credits portion of the carbon credits system. This way, the carbon emissions of each company or country is properly compensated for. Thus, we are giving back to the environment.
