3. Check out http://compete.com. Run the company's website through it.

If their traffic is getting less than 2000 hits, and the graph is headed down then this is a red flag!

4. Good MLM companies will have a $500 or less start-up cost option. Don't get in if it's more.

Over 22 states require a business registration if the start-up cost is over $500.

The best mlm companies will have a refund policy on the products that come with the starting package.

5. Do a search with the BBB in the city where the mlm company is located.

If there are more than 4-5 unresolved complaints then don't join.

6. Test the products prior to joining one of these mlm companies.

Don't just get sucked into the hype about making a ton of money.

7. Read and understand the contract.

The paperwork should be less than 15 pages long.

This contract can be upheld in a court of law.

Have the recruiter explain anything you don't understand.

8. Get a copy of the pay plan and analyze it.

Find someone with knowledge of mlm companies to help you if you don't understand it.

Ask lots of questions.

9. Does the mlm company provide sufficient support?

Checks paid on-time without errors?

Products delivered correctly all the time?

10. Are the products or services marketable?

Are they consumable? This gives monthly usage and creates residual income

Are they exclusive to that company?

Do you like them?

Can you get excited about the products and sell them?

With this list you can't go wrong when faced with the task of choosing one of many mlm companies available in the marketplace. If the company has these characteristics then it's a winner.

At the end of the day the mlm company you pick has to fit with you personally. If you're not into health and fitness then don't join a vitamin company.
