Something few Internet marketers have been able to distinguish is the difference between MLM and one level Internet marketing know as direct marketing. There are some large inportant differences.

There are simularities in that; yes teams come together and they use Internet marketing techniques, however the underlying difference is on the commisions structure. MLM rely's upon having so and so many levels deep, which can be hard to achieve at times, the early birds get the worm as they say and this fact is not hidden. What ends up beng the problem is retention so it becomes recruit, recruit.

My observations have led me to believe there are so many MLM opportunities popping up they hit a critical mass point, where so many Internet marketers are all out promoting the same opportunities, in short they can become a bit of a nusiance especilay if what they are trying to promote is nothing but a scam.

In direct marketing there are streams of commissions that come in a variety of way's some of which are recurring. The same rules apply as in any other business concerning quality, prices, demand for products/services etc...

Knowing both Internet marketing venues and observing what happens in the market place my preference is for direct Internet marketing. It's just more logicical as well as easier.

All Internet marketers can and do take part in affiliate marketing, but in direct marketing the term is ( partner with). Understanding these main differences is critical, many Internet marketers have been at the business for years without making substancial amounts of revenue and not knowing why.

The number of MLM companies coming in and out of the business I believe is one big reasons. Along with the facts I'm presenting here MLM companies really don't want Internet marketers finding out or it's gigs up for them, know that you know you can observe this fact.

Knowing all this what does someone do that is serious about making a success of their Internet marketing business?

The times are changing and a few Internet marketers have started to clue in. You need the right combination, marketing platform where your team has access to the best Internet marketing training, very important here is, promote the affiliate partnership preferably a high end, very in demand, highly successful company.

This is the right combination, number one is, you are Internet marketing products/services, number two is, anyone wanting to join you in your marketing business can.
