Their salaries have been increased from Rs16, 000 to Rs60, 000. Not only this daily, conveyance & other allowances have also been doubled. But they are still not satiated by this increase and are demanding further hike to Rs80, 000 because they feel that this amount is not sufficient enough for their livelihood in time of such inflation.

Then, what about the labor class which constitutes majority of population in our country? When the country is facing major food inflation, when people are already angry and worried due to hike in price of things of basic necessities, their demand seems unjustifiable.

At this time, instead of standing by the people and providing them some sort of relief they are demanding a hike of 500%. These MP's are representatives of people and it is their duty to first look into the welfare of the people.

This step has been criticised everywhere because we are all aware even though their salaries might have been low, still they have been earning substantial amount through bribes and other means. These politicians are representatives of people and have been chosen by them with the hope that they will bring the change and development where large number of population is still unemployed and majority of them still live below the poverty line.

Now is the time to take a major stand towards our country. Even if these politicians gets substantial hike, we need to keep a check on their day to day activities. And, in return of salary hike, we would demand from them regular attendance in the Parliament and a loyal catering in form of public services. I know, this is too much for asking in a bid to cleanse the system, but the push needs to happen from somewhere. And if they don't perform up to our expectations they will be oust from the government.

On the other hand, we youngsters who feel comfortable enough to comment on the politicians though none of us is ready to take the lead and find comfortable enough to take a job in MNC with lucrative salary can now foresee new opportunity and will free our country from the hands of the politicians who are not worthy enough to run it as they can earn here much more and much easily than they can earn after working hard.
