Mailman think Lakers will repeat as champs in next NBA season
A former National Basketball Association (NBA) superstar power-forward believe the
Los Angeles Lakers has it take to repeat as NBA champion in the season of the premier professional basketball league in the planet. Karl "Mailman" Malone, a former stalwart of the Utah Jazz believe the Lakers lead by its superstar guard Kobe "Black Mamba" Bryant and veteran coach Phil Jackson will achieve a rare three-peat or three straight championship in the NBA 2010-2011 season. Malone said Bryant, Spanish superstar center Paul Gasol and veteran point-guard Derek Fisher will be too much to handle for the other NBA teams including the reloaded Miami Heat and power-house Boston Celtics. He said the Lakers management also made a great decision when they acquired versatile guard Matt Barnes and reliable point-guard Steve Blaker over the summer. The superstar power-forward said Barnes and Blake are two NBA players who can greatly help the Lakers in both offence and defense in the next NBA season. Malone said the Heat might have acquired three of the top players in the NBA today namely Dwayne "Flash" Wade, Lebron "King" James, and Chris Bosh but their talent and skills will not be enough to topple the Lakers. He said the Heat might have a great NBA season but it will not result into an NBA championship since the Lakers will be too hard to beat in the next NBA season. With regards to the decision of James to leave his former team the Cleveland Cavaliers to play for the Heat, Malone said he respect and understand his decision. Malone said it is the right of James to play where he wants to play and the Cleveland fans and management could not forbid him from doing so.
