Making Great Business Cards For Your Corporation
Chances are you have one in your purse or wallet at this very moment
. Chances are that you have given or received at least one on this very day. Chances are that you will use one again very soon, and may not even care about it much. We are talking about business cards.
As far as advertising goes, the little handout with your information on it is probably the most popular of all time. This is for very good reason, to be sure. These tiny items can contain a wealth of info, all while being fun and informative at the same time. They can show who you are to a very good advantage.
Since this calling card that represents you can be so all important, you want to include on it some very basic, but very vital information. First and foremost is you name. Put your name on there above all else, including the company logo, because this card is all about how to reach you yourself, and no other. You are the one handing out the thing in hopes of getting a call back, right? Make sure they know whom to ask for when they do.
As for putting in that call, a phone number would be a good idea. Give them at least one, maybe two (for business and personal), and include your email address as well. Electronic communication is the reason of so much business today that you want to give them every chance to get wired with you. If you serve from a physical space, put the address down. If necessary put a map on the back to make sure you are reachable.
Make sure that the handout tells the reader what you actually do. This may sound like obvious advice, but it is shockingly often overlooked. Use you company tag line, or a brief saying about what services you perform. This does not have to be too complicated at all. If it simply states Joe the Plumber, that is excellent, you have a name and an occupation to go with it.
Speaking of uniqueness, do try and make it so. But do not use designs that cannot be easily deciphered, or fonts that are ridiculously convoluted. Your presentation can be bright, wild, crazy, and fun but it must be clearly legible. If the printing is too far out no one can discern the necessary information in order to reach you.
Always stay updated with the advertising you carry, and that includes the smallest among them. Keep a clean and stylish look to your wares, and do not be afraid to update regularly. These small items are cheap and a smart investment for that reason. You can afford to buy the very best when doing so, and should keep them looking new and enticing.
Business cards are one key connection point between you and many others. Keep yours sharp and modern, up to date, and professional. By doing so you will be putting the best foot forward in meeting with new clients, customers, or any others that you would like to keep in touch with. These are valuable tools, so make yours one to be remembered by.
