You remember when you first began school?

When you first began school, you were first taught how to count, after you learned how to count, you learned your ABCs. After you learned to count and your ABCs, you learned how to write numbers and letters.

It was then after you learned how to write your numbers and letters, or while you were learning to write your numbers and letters, that you began to learn how to read, because you were now able to put everything together.

From learning to read and write, you learned arithmetic, which is addition, multiplication, subtraction and division.

And you know what?

This laid the foundation of your education. Everything you learned after learning the basics of your education: reading, writing, and arithmetic were based on this initial foundation.

To learn about history whether it was American History or European History, you had to AT LEAST know how to read. To take creative writing courses, you had to know how to read and write. To take algebra, trig, etc, you had to know how to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
