Thursday I played football as usual and then went to the gym in evening to crack the 1.5miles all over again. I knew I could do it, but this was to reinforce the fact that I could and build confidence. I did the run easily and was even experimenting with the speeds. After the run I did the strengther circuits.
On Friday I did a best effort run, but without timing myself. The logic being that I was testing myself on the treadmill and building confidence, so there was no need to blow the confidence on the run. The run was the usual 4.1 miles. That evening again I went to the gym and did the usual. I went again on Saturday and the full 3mile run and the strengthens. Confidence was and although I wanted to train every day I was unable to on the Sunday.
On Monday I had a PT session.. This was a brilliant session as it replicated the 3mile run I was going to be doing. I did the 3miles in 20:49 which was well within the overall time. I then stayed on kettle bells, which left me shattered, but feeling good.
Tuesday I rested as we were expecting a hard session on the Wednesday.
On Wednesday we were all psyched and ready for another RMFA. The night turned into a bit of a disappointment. We did an easy circuit which barely made us break into a sweat, but then did a 3.1 mile booted run as a squad in boots.
