The field of nursing primarily deals with providing physical and emotional care to patients admitted in hospitals, clinics or other healthcare institutions. In addition to looking after patients, nurses oversee the general operations at healthcare facilities, such as record keeping, quality assurance, stock management, emergency response planning and a variety of administrative duties.
