Moving to Washington, D.C. was the best thing I ever did. Not only did I get a great job, find a fabulous apartment, but most importantly, I got to leave my small town of 4,862 people and Meet People Washington DC. I was a little shell shocked when I first got here because of the vastness of the city, but now I'm used to it.

In the beginning I relied on my co-workers to show me the lay of the land. They told me the best and most interesting museums to go to where I could take wonderful guided tours, which turned out to be a great way to meet people. I made a great friend on that tour because she was there alone too so we went to lunch after the tour and are still friends.

At the park, everyone has something in common and we'd tell each other stories about our dogs and just laugh at them being goofy running around the park chasing tennis balls. I saw the same group of people there on the same days and time that I went and had the time of my life and made more friends.

But after a while I got lonely wanted to start dating. I was torn between going the online route or just letting it happen naturally. I decided I was too afraid to meet someone from online because I was thought it might not be safe to meet people in Washington DC that way.

So I checked out the site and was very impressed. I was very impressed, attended several events, and met several men that are either good friends, or that I date on a more romantic level.
