Miller Construction Company Hires Three To Oversee New Projects

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. Achieving growth despite the regions commercial construction slowdown, Miller Construction Company has added three superintendents to direct operations at projects for new and existing clients throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

William Hess, Robert Verlinde and Eric Wolverton joined the company recently as superintendents, according to President Harley Miller. Weve focused on growing client relationships in the education, healthcare and hospitality sectors with positive results, he said, and were drawing from the regions unprecedented pool of high-performing talent to expand our team.

William Hess was previously a commercial project manager with McGarvey Development, Fort Myers. In that role he managed all facets of projects, from permitting, contracting, site development and construction through close-out documents. In his 16 years of industry experience, Hess has served as project manager and owner of Paul Davis Restoration and Remodeling of Fort Myers and in executive roles at construction firms in Jacksonville and Denver. He received a bachelors degree in construction management from the University of North Florida and is a licensed general contractor.

A project superintendent for 30 years, Robert Verlinde worked with


D.F. McKnight Construction Co. of Fort Lauderdale, where he directed all aspects of field operations for commercial, industrial, healthcare and public projects. He is a Coral Springs resident.

Eric Wolverton was most recently owner and field manager of Shoreline Cabinet Systems, Fort Lauderdale. A construction professional for 14 years, he worked with Ocean View Construction and Signature Consultants, both of Fort Lauderdale, earlier in his career. His father, Alan Wolverton, worked for Miller Construction Company for 11 years before retiring in 2004 as a senior superintendent.
