Miranda Lambert is currently shining brightly in the country music spotlight, and not just because of her recent engagement to country music's own Blake Shelton. The chirpy country singer has also garnered a place in the limelight for her most recent smash single, the yearning "The House That Built Me," as the song became her second-ever No. 1 hit single on the country music charts during the first week in June.

Lambert's "The House That Built Me" is a very emotional song about revisiting childhood roots, and the single topped the charts ahead of some of country music's leading gents in early June, including Chris Young ("The Man I Want to Be"), George Strait ("I Gotta Get to You"), Jason Aldean ("Crazy Town") and Joe Nichols ("Gimme That Girl").

Though she's been a strong presence on the contemporary country music scene since the mid-2000s, Lambert's career has recently escalated, with "The House That Built Me" becoming her second career No. 1 behind "White Liar," the lead single off her most recent album Revolution. Penned by prolific songwriter Tom Douglas (known for also recently writing Lady Antebellum's "I Run to You" and Tim McGraw's "Southern Voice"), "The House That Built Me" is a reflective number featuring the haunting chorus: "If I could just come in I swear I'll leave/ Won't take nothing but a memory/ From the house that built me."

Exuding a subtle confidence she's so often praised for, Lambert recently spoke with The Boot about how the single came to be on her album Revolution. Saying the tune was originally pitched to fianc Blake Shelton, Lambert recalled, "We heard it together. My reaction was just crying for two hours. He probably felt, 'just take whatever you want' because I was saying, 'When I grew up my dog' and I was telling him all these stories. That song just does it to you."

Ultimately, Miranda Lambert recorded the bittersweet tune that has now become her second No. 1 hit single on the country music charts, and it is a staple in her repertoire that country music fans with Miranda Lambert tickets to her many concerts this summer will get to hear live.

Lambert is currently on a roll with her headlining Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour, which also features opening acts David Nail, James Otto, Randy Houser and Wade Bowen. Apart from the several nationwide concert dates she'll perform on the tour this summer, Lambert also has a scheduled packed full of music festivals, as well. When she's not on the road with Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars, Lambert can be seen this summer as a featured performer at Bonnaroo Music Festival, Lilith Fair and the CMA Music Festival, among others.

Talking to The Boot about her first official headlining tour this summer, Lambert said, "In the last five years, I have learned so much from all the amazing artists I've toured with. Now it's my turn to venture out and do more shows of my own. I'm happy that there are a lot of great new artists who are willing to come out and support my tour."
