Here, we just take MP4 for example. To set MP4 as the output format, you can click the Advanced button to pop up the Advanced window, where you need to open the drop-down format list first and then choose MP4 in the Common Video category. According to iPad 3s tech specs, you can also set Encoder, Resolution, Frame rate and Bit rate etc in the Advanced window.
If you have trouble with the detail settings for iPad 3, there is an directly-optimized preset you can select. Just go to Apple>iPad as the output format.
