The campaign was supported by signs that showed the call to action, and ran in 185 retail locations in the U.S. Store personnel were trained in the campaign. The result was a huge response of 94,000 coupon requests, in the very 1st month of the campaign.
An additional benefit of a coupon campaign is that once the consumer is opted-in to a retailer's text messaging program, they can receive ongoing information and discounts to motivate them to reattend at the retailer and continue to purchase therefrom. Further segmentation by way of tracing texted questions or embedded links to a survey form, allow for advanced mobile tactics of future messaging campaigns that utilize previous shopping experience, purchase history, activities and demographics to tailor a call to action.
