Modular Cleanrooms Equipments For Contamination Control
If you are looking for a place where you need to perform some scientific research
or for manufacturing purpose, then go for clean room, a space where you have low level of airborne particles, bacteria and chemicals.
Let's have a look at some of the equipments that are needed during set up:
1. HEPA and ULPA filters:
These filters are randomly constructed mat of fibre that provides assistance in filtering out 99.97% of particles that are greater than 0.3 microns in diameter. Helps in maintaining near-constant air processing that pushes all the airborne particles down towards the floor where they are trapped by filters and kicked out of room.
2. HVAC systems:
HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) systems are used to control the temperature and humidity of the cleanroom. These rooms need constant cooling due to the heat produced by the air filtration devices as there is a need for heat controlling to maintain a comfortable working temperature for staff members. These system includes wearing protective coveralls over their clothes. Workers will require a temperature range of 72-75F.
3.Furniture:
These rooms are very much expensive and if any furniture is employed then it should be of stainless steel and smoothly designed to limit any interference with the air flow. You can usually achieve this by having solid vertical faces but you can go for perforated horizontal surfaces to let users to pass through it easily.
4. Protective clothing:
Special room needs special protective covering for the workers to work in it. These are specially designed to prevent any contamination attributed to human body. Cleanrooms include special covering that includes Gloves, boots, over-shoes, goggles and coveralls.
5. Air Filtration :
The air for all the cleanrooms is filtered through high efficiency particulate Air (HEP) filters which are rated for 99.99 % efficiency on 0.3 micron particles (HEPA). Cleanliness is one of the function of how much clean air is combined with contaminated air in the room. The more the clear air will be , the greater the contaminant dilution will be. These rooms takes advantage of another feature of the filters which is pleating of the media in manufacturing process.
6.Temperature control:
These rooms can be controlled with special temperature according to your specific requirements. Humidity of the room should also be controlled depending on the process involved. It is typical between 40 percent to 60 percent with a variation that is usually not greater than 5 percent.
7.Walls:
Walls are specifically constructed with any non-shedding material which can be wiped down easily and can be kept clean. These modular walls includes a tax advantage which are considered tangible property and can be moved.
