Barack Obama has a goal and that is to make college education affordable and available to everyone

. He wants the government to help foot the bill and he does not want moms to miss this chance.

The Federal Pell Grant has been raised to $5,500.00. This amount of money will help moms get back to school with less financial worries than they might have had in the past. Oftentimes, moms do not get the chance to return or begin college because of money. Now, that no longer has to be their reality.

Another factor that can help moms is the many online degree programs that are out there. You may be able to complete a degree program without ever having to leave your home which can certainly help if child-care is a concern.

Because many women will be seeking to qualify for these monies, not everyone will be accepted. But you certainly won't be the recipient of these funds if you don't even try. Some who don't necessarily qualify for Pell Grants may find that there are other avenues of assistance that open up.

In order to receive these Grants, certain financial guidelines need to be met. Many moms who work will qualify because they don't earn much money.
