Most Common Causes Of Car Accidents

With there being more cars being on the road today

, it has increased the amount of accidents each year. Unless you live out in the country where there aren't many people living, you are most likely surrounded by other cars all the time when driving. With the increase in cars there are a lot more accidents happening and some of the time it is not your fault. For myself, I have been in 4 different accidents and only one was my fault. In regards to car accidents, here are some of the most common reason.

One of the most common causes of car accidents is driver distraction. This can be due to anything from changing the radio station in your car, texting, eating or whatever else might keep your attention away from the road. When driving you need to make sure that all of your attention is on the road as that one second you're not paying attention could lead to an accident. Another common cause of car accidents is drunk driving. When a driver is drunk, the chances of them getting into an accident increases as they are impaired and they may not be able to react quickly enough to avoid an accident. Usually when someone is driving drunk, the outcome is not great and could lead to a serious injury to the driver or someone else on the road. A third common cause of car accidents is speeding. When you speed there is the potential of you losing control of your car or not having enough time to react quickly enough to avoid a collision as you were going to fast. When driving you need to obey the speed limit as it is there to keep you safe. A fourth common cause of car accidents is driver fatigue. When drivers are tired they reaction time is not the same as a well rested person and it makes it difficult to avoid accidents. If you feel tired or sleepy, try to avoid driving until you get some rest so you don't get into an accident.

These are some common causes of car accidents. With there being so many more cars on the road, you need to take every precaution necessary to avoid a potential accident.
