He joined IESE business school in 2006 and in 2008 was awarded a fellowship at the Strategic Management Society. His academic achievements have been marked by various awards, including the Irwin 'Outstanding Educator' Award in 2008 from the Academy of Management. He was the first Professor of a European Business School to receive the award.
