When you are in need or an end of tenancy clean you'll most likely get a 3 quotes from different cleaning companies. Company A arrives to clean and they've come with no cleaning materials or chemicals. Now what do you do? You're moving out so the house is empty and you now have to waste time finding a vacuum, going to the local store to spend a fortune on chemicals that you don't know if they are the ones you need to do the job. After they've finished and the inventory clerk has had a look around you find they've done a poor job and they blame you for providing bad equipment.

No fun and not what you want to deal with on top of all the moving and unpacking.

What about the more expensive companies?

The oven is still dirty, the carpets stains haven't been taken out and the general dusting is quite what you expected. The estate agent decides they need to get their cleaning company in and decide to keep some of your deposit back to pay for the cleaners to go around re-cleaning everything again.

Now lets say you chose Company C, the only company that offers a full guarantee and is recommended by estate agents. Company C have all the necessary equipment, materials and chemicals to perform their clean to a high standard now matter how dirty a property. Consequently they must have their own transport and have slightly higher costs. They are also insured with public liability, employer liability and treatment risk. Company C comes in with a team of cleaners to spend the time needed to ensure every inch is cleaned, someone experienced is cleaning the ovens, a separate cleaned for the windows, another for the carpets, another set for the general cleaning, plus someone to ensure everything is cleaned so you get your deposit back. As it's in company C's interested to ensure they don't go back you can rest knowing they'll put the most effort into making this the case. When the inventory clerk has a look around they find no issues and you get all your deposit back. You now have found a cleaning company you can use time after time for the next move which also will save you time, money and stress as it's one less job for the next move.

Should you ever be in the position of requiring an end of tenancy clean no matter what the size or complexity of the property you now know what sort of questions you should be asking the cleaning company before ever accepting a quote. The cheapest may not turn out to be the cheapest in the end nor may it end up being the best!
