"Owning a house is a dream that all of us share

. You may even be acquainted with the saying that goes ""there's no place like home"". The most gratifying and fulfilling achievement as a working professional is to have one's own property - a house and lot - before the acquisition of any other valuable things in life.

No matter who you are, having a place where you can rest and meditate and a place to call home is important. How else can you attain full satisfaction in life except by having a place you can call your own? A house where you can have the freedom of designing, renovating, refurbishing and improve is a happiness that can't be paralleled. Owning a house gives you a sense of belongingness, a feeling that will bring you back to where you belong no matter how enticing another place could be. It's a feeling of being in your comfort and security zone.

At the end of a very long, tiresome day from work, you'll always want to go home and take your much needed rest. However, this feeling can only be satisfied if you are going home in a house that you really own. A home that you are renting, no matter how cozy the place looks, won't give you that sense of satisfaction. Of course, you are expected to abide by your landlord's rules. Things are different if you own the house.

Life is full of uncertainties and surprises. You may think that you have a stable job but this job may not be good for your future. Your health will not be the same 2-3 years from now. The company that you are working for may not exist in the future. With all these uncertainties, you have to be prepared and part of the preparation is having a house you can call your own.

Acquiring your own home is one of the ways to invest for a great future. We are not getting any younger. The decisions that you make today will determine the kind of future that awaits you. Owning a house is something that you can take pride in. Don't procrastinate. Putting off things for tomorrow when you can do them today is not a wise practice. Do it while you are still young. Your own house which you can touch and feel will serve as a reminder of the hard work that you have done.
