At the Culture section, travellers can observe the following collections that include Photography, Art and Visual Culture, Pacific Cultures, Taonga Mori Treasures, Social History and Visual Culture and many archives that illustrate New Zealand culture.


The Natural History section features a variety of stuffed animals and these collections include over 70,000 different species of bird life, marine mammals, insects, fish, reptiles, invertebrates and vertebrates. Other collections include Fossil Vertebrates, Molluscs, Crustacea and the worlds largest squid is also among its exhibition.
