Available to most students is the $10,000 scholarship drawing at freecollegescholarships.net. If you want to appy you need to be at least 18 and live in the United States. You simply need to fill out a one-page form to enter the scholarship giveaway.

There is a winner every month but if you want to win you need to register before the next deadline.

You can learn more about the Higher Reach Scholarship program. Winners can earn $1,000 of scholarship money for four years. You need to have been out of school for at least one year and be a Walmart associate in order to be eligible.

A third scholarship you may want to look at is the Alliance for Young Writers and Artists. This scholarship opportunity is available to college students in Lake Forest College located in Illinois. You can get from $1,000 to $5,000 and you need to submit examples of your writing to apply.

Don't get discouraged if you don't get a scholarship that you really wanted to get. Don't wait until your senior year to start doing your scholarship search because many of the big scholarships you could apply for have an early deadline in the senior schedule.

You can have a main scholarship essay that you can tweak around for different scholarship applications.
