If it's outside in the natural world, it's fair game. Rocks, trees, bushes, lakes, streams, mountains and dirt trails can all be considered for your shot. The sky during the day and the clouds that fill it can also be on your list of things to capture with your camera. Animals are probably one of the most popular subjects in nature, and they can be found quite easily.

You don't have to set out to get the most amazing picture of a Bald Eagle or spend a bunch of money traveling to distant lands to get a tiger in your sites. There are many creatures in your backyard that are living wildly and can be just as beautiful as the rare animals in far away places.

Taking pictures can be a great way to relax or to have fun exploring your imagination. It's up to the photographer as to what kind of shots he or she would like to get. They are sometimes planned, or just happen out of the blue. If you have your camera with you at all times, there's no telling what kind of amazing scenes will strike your fancy at any given time.

The world is full of colors and textures just waiting to be seen. Something as simple as a piece of moss on a rock, could be considered something pretty amazing if shot at the right angle or in the right light. The sun setting over a still sea with a bird off to the side or a boat sitting on the horizon could also evoke many pleasant feelings for the person taking the picture.

Whether you're shooting up close, or from a distance, there is a lens designed specifically for any kind of shot you could want. Having the right camera and the right lenses for the job can make your photos even more breathtaking. If you're just beginning your adventure in photography you may want to do some research on what kinds of lenses and techniques are used for certain specific kinds of shots.

Poses come naturally for things in nature. You need not tell anything how to stand or where to sit. Part of the beauty is that no matter where things happen to be outside, it's where it belongs.
