Ncaa Football Tickets - Schools Battling For Pac-12 This Year

The PAC-12 football picture for 2012 seems to depend on whether USC's Trojans will run the table

. USC has emerged from its NCAA probation with a roster of studs capable of winning., making them easily the favorite in the conference. Lane Griffin proved he is the coach USC needed to keep the team cocked and loaded during the probationary period. Griffin's quarterback, Matt Barkley, will be on hand to throw passes in the direction of glue-fingered, speedy wide receivers.

Barkley can also expand the credentials needed to take home the Heisman Trophy. The only flaw here is that USC lacks a proven back-up, should Barkley suffer an injury. Fans across the country holding NCAA football tickets NCAA football tickets will find it interesting to see if USC rules the PAC-12, or will there be legitimate contenders looking to make a statement.

USC is expected to cruise through the PAC-12's South Division. Last year, Utah had a solid chance to play in the conference's title game. The Utes were upset by a less than mediocre Colorado team and all championship dreams faded. Utah does have a favorable schedule. It won't play the North Division's top teams, and will host USC. Utah has the PAC-12's dominant defensive lineman in Star Lotulei. Quarterback Jordan Wynn has recovered nicely from shoulder injuries and will bring stability to the offense. From there, however, few give the Utes much chance of bringing USC to heel.

The conference's North Division has some potentially very interesting match-ups. For the expected leaders, Oregon and Stanford, it's important to find quarterbacks able to replace Darron Thomas and Andrew Luck, the NFL's first draft pick. Oregon has running back De'Anthony Thomas, who as a freshman started just six games for the Ducks. In last year's Rose Bowl, Thomas had only two carries. One went for 91 yards and a touchdown, the other went for 64 yards and six points. Oregon fans are hoping the sophomore gets more carries this year.

Stanford doesn't have a running back with such explosive credentials. But the Cardinal can count on Stepfan Taylor to keep defensives running a step behind. Taylor enters the new season coming off of back-to-back 1,000-plus yard efforts. He is among the country's best at making yards after the initial hit. Tough, strong, fast, Taylor will be a dominant figure for Stanford's football team.

The North does have a stronger contingent. More teams appear capable of rising to the top than does the USC-ruled South Division. One school in particular can be counted on to produce offensive fireworks. Washington State's new coach, Mike Leach, brings with him a penchant for lighting up the scoreboard. With two promising quarterback's on hand, Jeff Tuel and Connor Halliday, Leach's Cougars are going to put the ball in the air often and more often. Washington State players have already been through a rigorous spring practice schedule that focused on achieving superb conditioning. Those Cougars who didn't meet Leach's conditioning demands had to wear pink T-shirts. Others got grey for average and black for great.
