Negative Side Of Education System In India

Education builds the man so it builds the nation

. All round development of personality is the purpose of education. But the present day education is not imparting true knowledge of life, world and helping one stand on ones own leg not improving the talent of a student by which one can achieve success in the field one is interested. So, combination of arts subjects and computer science and science and humanities or literature should be introduced so that such courses could be useful for the students to do jobs after recruitment in some companies which would reduce unnecessary rush to higher education.

The Education System in India is good but there is always a scope for improvement. Education in India is provided by the public sector as well as the private sector, with control and funding coming from three levels: central, state, and local. India's education system is divided into different levels such as pre-primary level, primary level, elementary education, secondary education, undergraduate level and postgraduate level.

The education system in India is all about mugging up the theories and fiddling with the practical. So it is indispensable for us to improve the quality of the education in India. You are educated but you lack in the character then there is no point in pursuing that education. So even more emphasis has to be placed in including subjects like moral science, etc... as a mandatory one through out ones education.

Our students are poor not only intellectually, but physically too. The unsound minds live in unsound bodies. Groups of pale, thin youths meet the eye at the portals of colleges and universities. This is so because there is hardly any provision in our college and universities for systematical physical training, games and sports and other extracurricular activates. The want of physical training leads the students to loss in other way also. They dont learn the dignity of labor. They begin to shun, labor of every kind, physical or intellectual. They become ideal, ease-loving and extravagant.

If we see, in rural areas, the infrastructure facilities provided in these schools is very poor. This school does not have proper water facilities, seating arrangements, and toilet facilities. And the presently of teachers in these schools is very poor. So there is need to change our present education system.

Another reason for poor quality of education is the poor quality of teachers in government schools. Government schools are unable to attract good quality teachers due to inadequate teaching facilities and low salaries. The government currently spends only 3% of its GDP on education which is inadequate and insufficient. To improve the quality of education, the government needs to spend more money from its coffers on education.

Our colleges and universities are like factories that produce graduates in quick succession just as a machine issue forth pins and needles one after these literacy factories, who wander into the wide world in there vein efforts to find employment. In life there is no demand for these university products. The result is that the more our education expands, the more the ranks of the educated unemployed swell.

Then there is reservation based on Caste System. Which by the way violates all the things mentioned in our fundamental rights? I'm not against reservation .Im against reservation based on caste. Why does a student from rich family but in (sc/st/obc) class gets reservation on the other hand a poor child from so called upped class doesn't?

I hope government takes certain appropriate policy measures to improve the education system otherwise inequalities are going to be widespread and Indias basic capabilities will remain stunted. Let us strengthen the case for a stronger education system.
