If you want analog, this is not for you. I've got three calipers including this one. One is metric only. Another is inches only. And then here's this one which does both with very good accuracy.

It has a good solid feel and the digital readoutis handled by three simple button controls. I frequently use it in preference to the more expensive alternates because it's accurate and I sometimes want to do both inch and metric measurements without having to use a second tool.

It does not offer an alternatie analog readout except in the crudest terms. It shouldn't.

What a bargain? This product allows me to make high resolution measurements in multiple directions. It has a digital readout that switches from US to Metric redouts, and is very durable stainless steel fro an excellent price.

Purchased 6 of these as a trial for shop use. 2 were received defective and replaced without having to send defective ones back. Good thing because we have stripped the defective ones down to replace parts that keep breaking like the thumb wheel and end plate which the screws just randomly fall out of. On a good note the calipers measure accurately when run through calibration procedure. Outside jaws, inside jaws, depth and step all measure good. Too bad the calipers are made so cheaply. Will not ever buy again.

I'm a woodworker, not a machinist, and I find this tool to be useful. I have another one that also does inches in fractions as well as decimals, so it, and not this one, is my go-to tool. Received mine yesterday and am very pleased with it. I noted some negative reviews before ordering so I wasn't sure what to expect. Wow! Contrary to the negative reviews the unit is well made, accurate, and arrived with both batteries alive and well! The zeroing button, metric to inch conversion, and other controls work perfectly. It has clear instructions, is easy to use, and is certainly accurate enough for my needs. For the price I couldn't be happier.

This is a nice digital caliper. I don't use it very much nor am i a professional but I had to keep one at home for building random stuff, and this is perfect for me. It is quite accurate and affordable at the same time. It is also very simple to use. the digital screen also provides easy reading. It also comes with a plastic case and extra battery. great buy.
