. It is the Britains youngest National Parks which offer the most enjoyable and relaxing stay to its visitors. The New Forest is a popular location for all ages and interests. There are year round activities such as guided walks, historic and geographic talks and traffic free cycle tracks with the latest attraction being camping and caravanning.

Camping in New Forest offers great experience to visitors as it puts one right in the heart of nature, the Forest. There are various privately run campsites which offer excellent facilities and holiday park atmosphere. These campsites are set in totally natural surroundings and one may also share a pitch with the New Forest ponies as well or even the odd dear or a pig at times.

These sites are run by forest and woodland based caravan parks and campsites all around the UK, in conjunction with the Forestry Commission (FC) and Camping and Caravan Club (CCC). Given the relative small size of the New Forest, all campsites are perfectly located for access onto the Open Forest itself along with all the other main areas of attraction. The campsites are located well across all the regions which include Brockenhurst, Lymington, and Lyndhurst.

One can enjoy some relaxing New Forest camping and caravanning facilities and amenities offered by these sites. Though such services do differ between the New forest caravan parks and campsites, as not all facilities offer toilet and shower facilities. However, there can be chemical toilets. One must also look for the campsites which offer electrical hook-up options.

There are various campsites which are located near Brockenhurst, Arhurst, Burley, Stoney Cross, Sway, Lyndhurst and Beaulieu.

Most of the family camping tents that are advertised on the Internet are designed with the knowledge that one would have the extra equipment to store on the trip, some even build a special annex to their tents just to offer some extra storage space.
