New York Jets Tickets - The Rex Ryan Era Begins

There's a new bully in town, and for once it's not Bill Belichick

. Rex Ryan, the similarly outspoken son of the former in-your-face Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals head coach Buddy Ryan, is the new head coach of the New York Jets and also the newest lightning rod of attention in the NFL. It's not only his brash comments that have made waves over the last several weeks-it's also his team's wins, as Gang Green is 2-0 going into Week 3 of the regular season, having beaten the tough Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots right off the bat to become one of the most frightening teams in the league this year. Whether it's Rex Ryan who is to credit for the Jets' turnaround this season or rookie QB Mark Sanchez who has helped bolster the Jets to the top of the power rankings, one thing is clear-Rex Ryan has started a revolution in New York.

Most recently, the Jets have gained national attention for their outrageous taunts to teams and players around the league, and this is most noticeable in the case of the New England Patriots. The Jets have a longstanding rivalry with the Patriots that has provided tons of trash-talking over the last several years, but this year's Jets-Pats regular season matchup was perhaps the most thrilling, as Rex Ryan built up the anticipation for the big game months ahead of time, saying to reporters over the summer, "I never came here to kiss Bill Belichick's rings. I came to win, let's put it that way. So we'll see what happens. I'm certainly not intimidated by New England or anybody else." This fueled the fire underneath the Pats-Jets rivalry, and Ryan didn't stop there.

He made several brash statements leading up to the Week 2 New England-New York game, even encouraging his players to do the same, as safety Kerry Rhodes was applauded for telling the New York Daily News he wanted to "embarrass" the Patriots in the matchup, saying "We don't want to just beat them. We want to send a message to them, 'We're not backing down from you and we expect to win this game, and it's not going to be luck, it's not going to be a mistake.'" Well, the Jets certainly put their money where their mouth was when they played the Patriots in Week 2, beating them 16-9 in one of the most memorable games of the league so far this season.

Now that the Jets are being taken seriously, New York Jets tickets are flying off the shelves as the Jets bandwagon gets going in full speed. Tickets to games are available for purchase online, and with Rex Ryan leading the stampede and Mark Sanchez at the helm, the Jets are sure to have one remarkable season this year. The leading question on football fans' minds now that the New England Patriots have been beat by the Jets is who Rex Ryan's next target will be, and perhaps the only answer to the inquiry is this: everyone. The Jets currently lead the AFC East, and there's no doubt they'll have to claw their way through to stay at the top.
