Nfl Tickets - Quarterback Changes

Just two games into the 2010 NFL season, some teams are already looking to make changes at the quarterback position

. Let's take a look at the quarterback situations on these clubs.

Carolina Panthers: The Panthers expressed a lot of confidence in Matt Moore this offseason after the generally untested quarterback finished off the 2009 campaign with several solid efforts.

However, after seven turnovers in his first two games of 2010, Moore has been benched and the Panthers have announced that they'll be turning the reins over to rookie Jimmy Clausen. The Panthers couldn't resist pouncing on the Notre Dame product when he slipped to them in the second round of the 2010 draft. Clausen was tabbed by most draft experts as a likely first round pick, but concerns about his character and ability as a leader caused the former Golden Domer to experience the obligatory draft day freefall.

Clausen played in a pro style offense under current Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Charlie Weis at Notre Dame, which should help him assimilate to the pro game quickly. However, Clausen's decision making was one of the big question marks surrounding him around draft time. Mistakes are capitalized on by opposing defenders much more frequently in the National Football League than in the collegiate game, something that young quarterbacks routinely learn the hard way. Clausen has a good arm, though, and could be the right man for the job.

He's sure to experience his fair share of growing pains, but Panthers fans will flock to get NFL tickets and see their potential franchise quarterback line up under center this season. The best part about this switch is that the organization will know what they have in Clausen more quickly than most teams usually do in making an assessment.

Buffalo Bills: The Buffalo Bills were only able to muster two touchdowns in their first two games of the season and struggled mightily to move the ball on a regular basis throughout those two contests, prompting head coach Chan Gailey to make a change at quarterback. Trent Edwards started the first two games for the Bills, but his propensity for checking the ball down made the Buffalo offense predictable and uninspiring. Gailey has chosen to go with Ryan Fitzpatrick, who hasn't been able to secure a starting job in any of his three NFL stops but has flashed potential at times. Fitzpatrick has a better arm than Edwards and will look down the field more often. Gailey said he's looking for a spark, and Fitzpatrick could at least open up the passing game a little bit.

Philadelphia Eagles: Head coach Andy Reid originally proclaimed that Kevin Kolb would start in week three if he was healthy enough. So much for that, as Michael Vick has been named the official starter moving forward. Vick has played extremely well this season, but is he a long term solution? The organization had enough confidence in Kolb to trade Donovan McNabb in the offseason, so it's surprising to see the team give up on him so quickly. I still think Kolb the quarterback of the future for the Eagles, but it could be hard to keep saying that if Vick keeps playing like he has been.
