Nfl Tickets - Week 2 Fantasy Recap
Here are some notes on the top fantasy performers of week two:
Jahvid Best, Running Back, Detroit Lions: Best had his breakout game in week two, totaling more than 230 yards from scrimmage against the Eagles. He showed himself to be a real threat in the running game and could be a big producer going forward. The Lions are still figuring out how to use him, but it looks as though they're getting a pretty good idea early on. He's got the speed and moves to sell tons of NFL tickets.
Jason Snelling, Running Back, Atlanta Falcons: Snelling was huge in relief for an injured Michael Turner against the Cardinals, scoring three times. He rushed for more than 120 yards and added five receptions for 57 yards. It looks as though Turner will be back next week, but Snelling is a must-own in most leagues now as insurance.
LeSean McCoy, Running Back, Philadelphia Eagles: McCoy had his first huge game as a pro in week two, rushing for 120 yards and three touchdowns. He also got all of the goal line work against the Lions, which is a great sign for fantasy owners. However, this performance came against Detroit, so keep that in mind.
Frank Gore, Running Back San Francisco 49ers: After a tough week one, Gore responded on "Monday Night Football" against the defending champion Saints, nearly leading the Niners to victory. He's one of the hardest workers in the NFL and should be a stud going forward.
Adrian Peterson, Running Back, Minnesota Vikings: Peterson racked up 145 yards on the ground and a score against Miami, despite the team's offensive struggles. Expect him to get a lot of work while the team figures out their passing game.
Matt Schaub, Quarterback, Houston Texans: Schaub nearly threw for 500 yards against the Redskins, leading the Texans to an overtime victory. He should be a great option moving forward, as the passing attack is still Houston's biggest strength.
Andre Johnson, Wide Receiver, Houston Texans: Johnson is the biggest reason that Matt Schaub is so good. The wideout amassed 158 yards on 12 receptions in week two, reminding everyone why he was the first receiver off the board in most 2010 fantasy drafts.
Mike Tolbert, Running Back, San Diego Chargers: Tolbert looked great in relief for an injured Ryan Mathews, probably to the point that he's going to become the team's goal line back at the very least. Word on Mathews is that he's ok, but Tolbert will probably steal some carries moving forward.
Kevin Walter, Wide Receiver, Houston Texans: I still prefer Jacoby Jones in the long run, but there are plenty of passes to go around in Houston.
DeSean Jackson, Wide Receiver, Philadelphia Eagles: He's a great fit with Michael Vick's big arm, but keep in mind that he's a big play guy, which frequently results in all or nothing fantasy production week to week.
Aaron Rodgers, Quarterback, Green Bay Packers: He torched the Bills with relative ease and has even bigger days on the horizon.
Antonio Gates, Tight End, San Diego Chargers: Like there was any doubt that he'd be elite this season.
Dustin Keller, Tight End, New York Jets: Why Mark Sanchez hasn't gone to this guy more is beyond me. The tight end is a young quarterback's best friend, especially one as talented as Keller.
