No More Giveaway At High Speeds With The New Improved Xs1

Mettler-Toledo Garvens has advanced its most precise checkweighing system to date

, the XS1, now able to weigh small and lightweight products at high throughput speeds with unprecedented accuracy. Ideal for small-size packs as well as expensive products such as cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, the XS1's high accuracy allows manufacturers to set tighter tolerances for their products than ever before. With heightened weighing accuracy, manufacturers can minimise the number of overweight and underweight products, reduce product waste and save production costs.

The advanced XS1 can accurately weigh up to 600 small products (up to 200g) per minute. The improved conveyor design with newly developed weighing cells and lightweight belt material ensure the XS1 is accurate up to 0.015g. The weighing cell features a minimum load of 3g, max. belt speed up to 150m/min and an official verification scale interval of 0.1g in accordance with European Weights and Measures legislation. Additionally, the conveyor features a more robust design to handle higher speed applications, reducing wear to extend lifetime and streamline maintenance.

We advanced our XS1 technology so our customers can maintain high production speeds without having to compromise on weighing accuracy, leading to a significant boost in operational efficiency".

To enhance flexibility, the checkweigher's tolerances can be easily adjusted to process a variety of products on the same production line. Up to 200 (extendable to 400) product specifications can be saved on the XS1 system for quick and efficient changeover to new products. With a compact design, the XS1 can be easily integrated in most existing production lines with minimum downtime.

The checkweigher includes an air jet rejection device ideal for removing lightweight packs from high-speed production lines. The lockable reject bin ensures that products that do not comply with required tolerances cannot be accidentally placed back on the production line. The system has a multi-level password and user profile system, protecting critical menu functions, which further minimises operator error and guarantees production integrity, especially useful for high-value products. The XS1 checkweigher also offers full traceability, and documentation to support validation and audits for compliance purposes.
