Nursing School: What To Expect and How Much To Get In

The cost of getting into and completing nursing school is high - as you would expect. However, I find it ironic that more and more people think it is a breeze to get through nursing school both mentally and financially. So in this post, I would like to talk about some of the aspects that an upcoming nurse will face as they attempt to complete nursing school.

I am trying to become a nurse and only have about two years left before I get a BSN, so I know a few things of which I am speaking. Now remember that becoming a nurse takes a lot of effort, both financially and mentally. Now I, for one, was not born a millionaire, so it was really tough for me. For others though, having the extra money to go to school might take a load off. Regardless, one should always try as hard as they can when entering nursing school. I am not one of the types of people that want to be "decent" at their job. I want to be the best. I don't want to be the best to say "I told you so," I want to be the best because I want to be good at my job and enjoy what I am doing. Anyways, there is no exact answer to how much nursing school costs. There are tons of variables that can change the total amount that you will be charged. Location is one big factor, along with whether or not you go to school in or out of your home state. Whether or not your grades are aboe a certain level may also have a bearing factor on how much nursing school will cost.

You see, if you are good at what you do, then you will enjoy what you are doing. I don't know about you guys, but I want to be both good at my job and enjoy it at the same time. Anyways, most colleges have it setup where it will take a student about four years to get a BSN. For me it would take four years if I took fifteen credit hours per year, but that was a little too much when it came to some of the big science courses, so I ended up taking a few summer courses.
