Online Business-do Not Quit Your Full Time Job Yet

A full time job is good. Being your own Internet business boss is even better. I know I had a goal to quit my full-time job and make moneyat home as soon as possible.

Eventually you will face the question of when should you quit your full-time job. Although there is no cut and dried rule for when you should go about this I do think there's a few basic things you should keep in mind.

1. 6 months living expenses in the bank. I think this is common sense. Save your Internet income until you have a cushion in savings.

When you go full time with Internet marketing you do not have a guaranteed paycheck. It really is to your advantage to not have to worry about money for at least six months.

If your bills are paid in advance, or you know you can pay them even when you're not bringing in income from the Internet, it takes a lot of pressure off of you. Plus it allows you to build your Internet business in a sound way with an eye on the future.

This means you don't have to take chances such as invest money into advertising or business opportunities that may or may not pan out. When you're under the gun financially it can lead you to be a little reckless with your money, and that can be bad for you and your business.

2. Sound business plan. First of all you need Internet marketing skills that you can implement into a business plan.

This is going to vary depending on the type of Internet marketing you are doing. I personally think affiliate marketing is a good business model because it provides many of the things you're going to need in terms of products, marketing materials, and so on.

However, there are many ways to make money on the Internet. Before you even consider quitting your full-time job you should have a business plan in place that you are following every day.

This means you can get up in the morning and know exactly what you're going to do each day. This may take some time to establish, but it will be the foundation of your long term success.

3. Work ethic. Some people are not entrepreneurial by nature. Are you the type of person that can sit down and go to work without somebody looking over your shoulder?

Internet marketing is great in that you can work whenever you want 24 hours a day. For the first time in your life you can actually set your own schedule.

This could be a blessing for you, or it could be a curse. It's totally up to you and whether you are a self motivated individual.

These are a few tips I can personally offer because I am a full-time Internet marketer now. I reached my goal to make money online from the comfort of my own home. It certainly is worth the effort it takes to go full time online, but do not quit your job until you are really ready to do it.
