One such information is to ensure that the online school is accredited. You see, some schools will claim they are accredited and will even give the names and the websites of the agencies they claim have accredited them. But the kicker is that those accreditation agencies are themselves bogus - probably operated by fake schools themselves.

There are websites that provide a database of legitimately accredited online high school diploma programs and colleges. It is best for students to check those first.
