After sending out his resume and cover letter to many potential employers and hiring recruiters, he finally stumbled across an advertisement for a data entry assistant. The assistant would work from home, on his personal computer, receiving and sending payments and recording the appropriate data.

Tired beyond all reason, he applied for the position, rejoicing when he received notification of his employment the next morning.

In recruiting someone to handle their monetary transactions, law breakers can easily acquire and sell their drugs or other illegally imported goods without paying. For if the law breaking customer refuses to pay, then the individual who received and sent the check will legally be held responsible for paying the law breaking employer.

Additionally, law enforcement will have a more difficult time tracing crimes conducted online with a third party. Every city cop has the easy, albeit dangerous, ability to arrest the drug sellers and buyers they see dealing at the local gas station. However, federal agents do not have the time to investigate every nationally or internationally based drug deal.

So job seekers must remain vigilant of law breakers attempting to recruit an innocent bystander to accomplish their underhanded deeds. On a positive note, people who have had law breakers scam them and steal their money should not give up hope in receiving justice. The government is working with organizations, such as Scam Victims United, to rectify these frauds. As well as inform the general public on how to recognize scams, to limit the number which occur daily. The government is aiming to someday take this crime scheme under control.
