Many digital cameras or inexpensive point and shoot style of video cameras can take great video and sound. These cameras run anywhere from a couple hundred dollars and up so you can find one that'll suite your budget.

But what if you don't want to record a traditional video? What if you want to post a tutorial video to market online? For this kind of video marketing, you are going to need what's known as screen capture software. Screen capture software allows you to record your computer screen and whatever you do on it. You can show people how to use software, you could make up a power point presentation or anything you want to do.

There are free screen capture programs that you can download or if you need a more robust system, you can purchase a program that will run around a couple hundred dollars for commercial use. Aside from the software, you will also need a microphone and a working microphone jack on your computer. Most people use a headset so that they can talk and listen to themselves at the same time to make sure the recording sounds good.

Once you have everything in order for your online marketing video, it's time to record and upload. A few tips for the video itself:

It shouldn't be too long. It should be long enough to convey your marketing method but not so long that it bores people.

You should sound happy or at least interested in the video. If you don't sound like you believe in what you're marketing online, than other people won't believe your message.

You don't have to make it flashy like a music video but it's helpful to use some design elements to perk the watcher's interests.

As far as uploading it goes, where you upload it is up to you. You can put it on your own website, YouTube, Facebook or other social media websites. You could also guest post on another blog or website and see if you can include the video to back up the post that you're writing. There are so many different things that you can do with video marketing online and it's easy to come up with creative ideas that will help you with your Internet marketing goals.
