Take an amount of different colored sea glass, place them in a colander and rinse them well. Next, fill a rock tumbler with half full with the glass. Pour water into the tumbler so that it covers almost all the glass pieces. Then, add about three tablespoons of sand.

To smooth the edges of your glass pieces, youll need to run the tumbler for several days continuously. You can check the process to see if youre satisfied with the state of the pieces. After about a week, the glass pieces should have rounded edges which are safe to use in mosaics and other purposes. Rinse off the sand to see the results more clearly. If youre still unsatisfied, you can repeat the process till you get the desired results.
