Dr. Frank Moussa hails from Kansas City, Kansas and attended the "honors" medical program at University of Missouri-Kansas City. He completed his residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia and began his care of the athlete with the Division I Missouri Tiger Football team, which was part of his orthopedic training. As an orthopedic resident, Dr. Moussa received multiple honors including "Best Resident Research" and "Best Teaching Resident" during his Chief Resident year. He furthered his orthopedic training by doing a sports medicine fellowship. This additional year of training focused on advanced care of the athlete. During this time, he was a Sports Medicine Fellow to the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs and Clinical Instructor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Missouri-Kansas City teaching residents the latest techniques in sports medicine.

Dr. Moussa relocated to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area in 2000 to join Phoenix Orthopaedic Group. Dr. Moussa was an assistant team physician for the NFL's Arizona Cardinals from 2000 to 2006. Besides Sports Medicine, Dr. Moussa has extensive experience in fracture care. Dr. Moussa took eight years of Level I calls at Scottsdale Osborn trauma center. There, he operated on some of the most difficult fractures that are often associated with high energy trauma. Joint replacement is another keen interest of Dr. Moussa. He does the most advanced total knee replacements using Biomet Signature technology that allows each total knee arthroplasty to be individually customized to each patient, even before the patient goes to surgery.
